Microdermabrasion
Over time, a person's skin may be damaged by exposure to sunlight, environmental pollutants, and other destructive factors. Microdermabrasion is a procedure in which the skin is gently abraded. This process removes worn outer layers of skin cells to expose the healthy cells beneath and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, sun spots, and other skin imperfections. Microdermabrasion helps our patients from the Lancaster area and elsewhere in central Pennsylvania achieve a fresh, rejuvenated complexion in as little as 30 minutes.
Parisian Peel® Microdermabrasion
The Parisian Peel® microdermabrasion system uses a fine spray of micro-crystals to remove damaged outer skin cells, exfoliating the skin and rejuvenating the complexion. Mild suction collects the crystals and skin cells, keeping the skin clean and clear throughout the procedure. The Parisian Peel® design incorporates a special dehumidification system that keeps micro-crystals flowing smoothly for better results. Microdermabrasion with Parisian Peel® can be performed on its own, but it is also safe to combine the procedure with various other surgical and non-surgical treatments for more comprehensive results.
DiamondTome™ Microdermabrasion
The DiamondTome™ microdermabrasion system is an exciting recent development in microdermabrasion technology. Rather than using a spray of aluminum oxide crystals like the one used for conventional microdermabrasion, the DiamondTome™ system relies on a wand with a tip covered with precisely sized diamond chips. This system is gentler than many other available options, but still produces outstanding results. With DiamondTome™, microdermabrasion is safe, clean, precise, and amazingly effective.
Laser Hair Removal
Many people are affected by unsightly excess hair on the face or body. Unwanted hair can be embarrassing, and temporary solutions such as shaving, waxing, and tweezing are time-consuming, messy, and inconvenient. Laser hair removal technology is a permanent solution to the problem of unwanted hair. In order to halt the growth of hair, our aestheticians treat the affected area with a high-precision medical laser beam. Follicles in that area will stop producing hair, leaving the skin smooth. A laser hair removal session may take as little as 15 minutes or as much as an hour depending on the size of the area being treated.

Injectable Products
Injectable treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and Restylane® are popular for their safety, convenience, and effectiveness. These products are powerful alternatives to the facelift and other types of facial plastic surgery. The results we are able to produce using injectables are amazingly realistic and natural. Injectable products are also flexible enough to be used when treating many conditions. Each injectable product is unique, and different patients will see the best results using different products.
BOTOX® Cosmetic
The BOTOX® injection is the single most popular cosmetic procedure in the United States today. This powerful treatment for wrinkles, crows' feet, and frown lines is quick, easy, and amazingly effective. By temporarily immobilizing muscles beneath the skin that contribute to skin wrinkles, BOTOX® Cosmetic gives the patient's face a smoother and more youthful appearance.
One of the most important advantages of BOTOX® Cosmetic is that the procedure itself is so quick and convenient. BOTOX® treatment takes about an hour, and the actual injections typically take only a few minutes to complete. The injection process is usually considered painless, but we may use an anesthetic cream if necessary. Patients may experience slight swelling or redness after receiving BOTOX® injections, but these symptoms will fade quickly, leaving behind subtle but profound aesthetic improvement that typically lasts about four months.
BOTOX® injections at our offices in Lancaster and its surrounding areas are an excellent option for almost anyone who wants to enjoy a rejuvenated appearance without committing to a surgical procedure. Women who are nursing or pregnant should avoid BOTOX® Cosmetic and other injectables because the effect of the product on the fetus or infant is not yet known. Also, individuals with certain neurological disorders are not good candidates.
Restylane®
Restylane® is a clear, biodegradable gel composed of hyaluronic acid. This compound is naturally present in the body, making Restylane® very safe to use for most patients. Restylane® is a dermal filler - so called because it can be used to fill wrinkles and lines, as well as for temporary lip augmentation. Like other injectable treatments, Restylane® treatment is quick, easy, and relatively painless, but the results it makes possible are both powerful and long-lasting (up to six months or more).
Juvéderm™ Injectable Gel
Juvéderm™ Injectable Gel, like Restylane®, is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler. This product is effective for both deep wrinkles and finer lines, as well as lip augmentation. Juvéderm™ Injectable Gel is proven to be safe on patients of all skin types and ethnicities. The hyaluronic acid in Juvéderm™ Injectable Gel and other such fillers improves the skin's elasticity by helping to increase essential moisture and nutrients.
Perlane®
Perlane® is another hyaluronic acid filler. However, Perlane® is more concentrated than other alternatives, making it appropriate for patients with deeper, more pronounced wrinkles and folds. In addition to its powerful benefits as a wrinkle filler, Perlane® can be used for lip and chin augmentation, softening nasolabial folds around the nose, and filling in depressions in the cheeks.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is a dermal filler based on polylactic acid gel. Because this product is synthetic, there is very little risk of allergic reaction for patients using Sculptra®. This product is most often used to fill fine lines and wrinkles, but it is also an effective treatment for facial lipoatrophy, which is the loss of fat in the face associated with HIV and AIDS.
Collagen
Collagen has been used in injectable form for many years to treat a variety of minor facial imperfections, and also to augment the lips and cheeks. Collagen is a protein found in various forms throughout the human body, and collagen fibers in the skin maintain its texture and elasticity. By injecting collagen into the face, it is possible to temporarily fill lines, diminish the appearance of scars, and improve the skin's feel and appearance.
IPL Photofacial for Skin Tightening and Rejuvenation
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photofacial is a convenient, non-invasive skin care technology designed to treat rosacea, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and loose skin. The photofacial procedure has the power to dramatically improve the appearance of a patient's complexion with minimal discomfort and side effects.
During the photofacial procedure, the face is treated with pulses of intense light that penetrate deep into the inner layers of the skin. This treatment causes collagen fibers in the skin to tighten, improving the skin's texture and elasticity. It also constricts blood vessels to improve coloration and complexion and reduces the appearance of large pores, acne, and acne scarring.
After completing IPL™ treatment, Pennsylvaniatients will have smoother, tighter skin and a clearer, more even complexion. Each IPL Photofacial treatment takes about 30 minutes, though some patients may require repeat treatments to achieve optimum results.
